It’s impossible to know for sure for all kinds of reasons, but I would like to believe that Mansa Musa, the 14th Century ruler of Mali, was wealthier in real terms than Musk, as well as less pernicious. Yes he may have done significant damage to the Egyptian economy while staying near Cairo with his entourage en route to completing the Hajj, but that was never his intention. He was just giving large quantities of gold to the poor people he encountered along the way. I can’t see Musk being similarly philanthropic.
