This is a conversation space within the Substack app exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. Or maybe a more debonair version of the hellhole formerly known as Twitter - only without the techno-fascism, snarky reply guys and overwhelming sense of dread.

I’m not going to spend my whole life on this thing. But I will use it to post passing thoughts, open questions, bits of housekeeping like this one - and also, give prior warning of the ingredients you should get in for the week’s recipe (e.g. rice). And you can use it to make suggestions, pooh-pooh my Martinez ratios, share life-changing Daiquiri hacks and (I will like this) bring choice references to cocktails in mid-century novels to everyone’s attention.

To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications and you won’t miss anything. Or don’t! And just drop by when it suits you.
