~ FERNET-BRANCA ~
Dark and extremely bitter herbal Italian digestif / 40% ABV / c£26+ for 700ml (much cheaper in Italy!)
Friends with: Italian vermouth, orange liqueur, other amari. Gin, bourbon, brandy. Warm spices like cinnamon, allspice and bitter orange. Bright fresh flavours like mint and caraway. Also, surprisingly, coconut and pineapple. I mixed it with balsamic vinegar once too and it wasn’t so bad.
