Richard, I have only just discovered your newsletter: I love it, of course. However you seem to have missed off a link when you mentioned golden sugar syrup. I presume it is just simple syrup made with e.g. golden granulated sugar, or possibly demerara. Or is it more complicated than that?

Thanks! And yes indeed - sorry was writing that one in a bit of a rush! But it’s two parts golden caster/granulated sugar to one part water. That’s the standard sugar syrup I always use

I was a bit late this week - only had a chance to read the newsletter and make the Ramos Gin Fizz this afternoon. But it was really worth it - this was a real surprise. Yes, it is a bit more involved, but the end result is so deliciously smooth and creamy, with the lemon and lime shining through beautifully... We absolutely loved this! What a perfect drink for this season - or any season, really!...
